Emissions roof for slurry tank
This reference shows the roof construction on top of an existing corrugated stainless steel tank. The roof construction is a membrane roof with fibre-reinforced PVC which is resistant to sun, wheather and manure. The construction is realised within one day. At first a crane is necessary to position the central support in the middle of the manure tank. The central support is made from steel and specially coated. Afterwards the construction of the membrane starts which is fixed with stainless steel brackets at the tank. Then the roof is straightened across the central support and results in a equal tension (biaxial). The incline of the roof is about 25° to guarantee an optimised flow of rain. The circumferential drip edge prevents from condensation water running off the tank wall. Moreover, the membrane roof has two operating holes as well as wall bushings for pipes.
