18.12.2020 - Gas-tight service opening receives the Innovation Award of EnergyDecentral in Silver

This year's silver medal was awarded by the DLG Innovation Commission to our service opening for digesters.

In tanks with membrane storage, large methane emissions repeatedly occur during service and maintenance work. The leak of the gases not only causes economic damage to the operator of the plant, but also places a huge environmental impact.

Instead of removing the digester roof, as usually, with the innovative gas-tight service opening only the filling level is raised in order to be able to carry out the service work. This minimizes the emission of gases, which means both less losses for the plant operator and means less strain on the climate and maintenance personnel.
