23.09.2020 - Erich Stallkamp ESTA GmbH is expanding to India
India has set itself ambitious targets for the expansion of its renewable energies and aims to generate 10,000 MW from bioenergy by 2022. The regional targets show that Uttar Pradesh (northern India) and Maharashtra (western India) are to play an important role in this implementation.
Accordingly, 3,499 MW in Uttar Pradesh and 2,469 MW in Maharashtra should be generated through biogas and gasification. Maharashtra in particular is seen as having great potential for the use of biogas, as the region has a high level of agriculture and corresponding biomass sources. This biomass can be used efficiently to generate energy, which promises ecological and economic benefits.
High potential for biogas in western India
Stallkamp is aware of the high potential in India and has found a competent partner in Pune (Maharashtra). With many years of experience in the field of agitator and pump technology, the experience matches the company's portfolio very well. The company relies on the successful cooperation to realize innovative solutions for energy generation from biomass and to sustainably improve the regional energy supply.
“We are looking forward to realizing projects in India - whether biogas plants, wastewater projects or agricultural equipment,” explains the Erich Stallkamp ESTA GmbH. The combination of technical expertise and local knowledge in particular offers a promising basis for the development and expansion of renewable energy sources in India. This could not only contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, but also create new jobs and strengthen the regional economy.
